The effective organization of people, ideas, material resources, intelligence and finance into interests like growth, goal-attainment, profit or success of your desire is known as business management.  |
If a manager of a business is not very good at the use of business managerial ethics, he is not worth it, and is likely to drag that business to the gutter, no matter the size of the business. Having an awesome plan about a beautiful business idea is an amazing something, but doing the right job and doing it excellently is the required one.
However, effective execution doesn’t mean wearing yourself up with hard labor all day; but, it’s all about doing the essential tasks as close to perfection as possible, making sure that the one that was done was well done.
There are people who struggle from year to year without any positive fruit to show up for their struggles; not making any improvement or achievement. Such people are in some case referred to as non-achievers.
They find it difficult to get along with others, and therefore find it difficult to get involved in the right tracks that will bring them success. They do the odd-jobs, leaving the most crucial part.
And thinking that by taking short-cut for everything, they will achieve success overnight, but later they arrive at blind-alleys. Some of these people are highly talented, but they don’t use their talent in proper and productive ways they should.
Instead they find some excuses to give about why they achieved so little in life. Either how their parent treated them or how life circumstances have been treating them. They must look for one escape goat or the other to lay the blame upon.
Some of these people can go to their working places and sit there idle, looking at others hustling to put things in place; these people will sit, talk, gossip, joke, playing games until the evening comes.
They talk about and jeer at others who are busy doing things they think is right, for their survival. This kind of people set their mind in the present moment and doesn’t have any plan for the future, and can take any crime to survive the moment.
I’m not in support of going out there to wear your-self out with heavy burdens, but going out there to stay idle is more of confusion than staying at home. Working hard alone however is not enough to make someone successful, how excellently you do those hard work will perfect it.
No matter how beautiful your ideas are or how big your resources are, your ability to make an effective use of them is the crucial thing. If you misuse them, you can end-up as failure. That’s a good reason you should ginger-up, as quite soon as possible, to find out that skill you require as an entrepreneur in order to move your business forward.
Are you still tongue-tied? Or always unable to express yourself when issues get complicated; or unable to boldly voice what you want? Do you find it difficult to be specific in decisions or to stick to what you have or are doing? Are you lazy or short of any skill in you field?
All the above are the anti-managerial values we are going to treat in this level. Somebody whose answers to the above questions are ‘yes’ is termed unethical, and such a person can hardly take his business any front, because he or she is definitely on the wrong track of business management.
Making an excellent business plan and laying the strong foundation is like building a beautiful road tarred with pure coal-road-tar. And the road is well equipped with everything that will be used in travelling that road including a very sound car.
Now everything is set, but the car can never take itself to that your destination, unless you drive it there. Now is the time you have to execute those plans you have and decision, use those resources you have been gathering, all for the progress.
If the controller of a car collapses on the steering, the car must land everything inside it into the bush. That a road is well built doesn’t mean that the user shouldn’t be skilled in driving, before hovering out to the highway.
Misguidance of a vehicle will results in doom. But if a driver is skilled enough to make use of everything he has, such as his car’s speedometer, road signs, roadmaps, car brakes and so on; to reach his destination, that driver is qualified to be a good entrepreneur.
The driver uses traffic signals, and other things, making sure that he is indeed moving towards his destination. So important is an ethical business management; it’s the most effective business management strategy you can go with.
A good manager uses what is available; to build what shall be. That’s effective execution of resources. The major objective of every manager is progress in his business and the secrets of the progress are those ethics you are going to meet in pages ahead.
A typical bible reference for effective execution comes from the ‘Epistle’ letter that St James the apostle wrote to the universal church. (James 2:14-26). “As body without the spirit is dead; so is faith without good work”.
