Think like a helper, not a pitcher: Properly marketing your product’s true value to a customer is more important and more helpful than trying to pitch him by all means to buy it.
Professional salespeople don’t pressure buyers, rush them or lie about their products nor condemn their competitor’s product, instead, they teach their customers the way in which normal or quality product should be or rather just focus on getting their problem solved.
They encourage users to buy such product if it can solve their problems. But in some ignorant enterprises, people find it difficult to focus on their major purpose of being there as a salesperson.
They just stay there to gossip, telling what they should and what they shouldn’t; Trying to make choice for buyers in the market-place, Giving their customers power over them, by weakening their own chains themselves. These practices are not good.
When your customers have understood all the secrets of your business sales, through you pitching, he can broadly tell you that he knows it and definitely weaken you. Help your prospect to just solve their problems, instead of refining to you attributes and benefits that centers the conversation on the other person.
Aim at making a value rather than just making a sale: Do you actually know what your prospects want? What they do with what you sell to them? These clearly can help you a lot to find out if there is a fit for it or not.
I mean if there is and Knowing alternative way of solving his problems. This can help you so much on the bargaining and you can make profit and ease your prospect’s life and also save his time. Your duty as a problem solution there is to focus on getting that problem totally eliminated.
For instance - If your customer came with his old part and want new one. But his money can’t reach the price of the new one. Ask him, “Will you want your re-usable-part to serve you again? Then we do it, how much will you pay for that?”-Refurbishing his own for him; so that the available cash on him can settle his matter. But some people will instead abort the transaction, because he said he doesn’t have enough money to buy “direct -Japan” used.
Another one is that you should stop thinking like “Just sell it out”. You have to give attention to make sure that what you sold can function well.
Focus on the beginning: Be sensitive to the early interaction with your prospect. That is where the taproot of your transactions deepens. Keep his mindset at the quality service you have been giving him and even in the present and avoid pushing forward- (where you want to go, what you want to do, which you have not done yet) Don’t confuse your prospects. Make a change or improvement before you let them know.
Avoid chasing prospects: Behave with dignity create a pressure free atmosphere- set a tone of equality and mutual respect – strive to be regarded as a helpful fellow, instead of a typical salesperson.
Connect with your prospect rather than working through list: You need to hear from them. And know what their issues at the present moment are; focus on how to make true connection with each prospect and be able to serve them better.
This naturally helps you to build trust and to show that you are a listening fellow. If a customer wants to get connected with you it means the customer want to stay longer for you.
Understand your prospect problem deeply so that they feel understood by you: - As I told you before about being a helper rather than a pitcher. You can help in what you understand.
So, do everything necessary for you to understand clearly the problem of your prospects. By having such a deep understanding, you can really feel with confidence, which you know and care for your customers’ situation.
Diffuse any pressure that you sense in the sales process: By being honest and truthful, there is no reason to press your prospect to make choice.
If you press him hander, you can make him lose interest completely. By diffusing the tension and pressures in the sales process between you and your prospect, you bring both of you closer to an open minded conversation.
Choose more intimate interactive language, instead of the usual sales sneaks.
Stop using those and furtive words that make him push back. Talk to him like a friend, not as the military head of state.
Use “Hope you will like this?” instead of “Would you be interested in?” Or “What can I do for you?” By paying dose attention on how you behave during sales you can turn-out wonderfully.
Become pro-active, creative and visional
These are the best trait of every great leader. Apart from these, there is nothing else like smartness in you. Every entrepreneur is a leader and every one of them who has these three virtue does the best whenever they are given chance to lead the public, confirmed. But I’m not talking about Nigerian politics here.
Yes, an entrepreneur is a leader; leading himself and some group of people and the general public as he leads the market, gives direction through which everything goes between his business and his customers.
Their own smartness goes beyond interface. An entrepreneur has the largest impact or influence to make on people’s life. And anyone who is unable to influence himself his environment, resources and people around him, is unworthy to be an entrepreneur.
The above three traits of smartness go together, no one of them goes without the other in order to bring out the best result.
Being pro-active is all about ability or willingness. If you like you can see it as “preparing for something beforehand” or as “intervention” doing something about a circumstance or as ‘doing something now in order to control an up-coming occurrence or situation’.
Are you engaging in an incredible training in order to win that hard working and tough opponent in the soon coming competition? You are pro-active.
In summary of pro-activeness, the most concise way you should understand it is that it is about doing something first. Without being pushed to, or without being influenced by any external stimulus. It is the opposite of being reactive. Writing my book to move my country forward is pro-activeness. Yes, it is somebody, who has self-drive, self-control, and self-discipline that can pro-act.
Being creative- Creativity is the key factor towards economic development, but I don’t know if Nigeria is aware of this.
Anything your can do to make people of other nations to willingly bring to you their money is wealth.
It is creativity only that can make you achieve that. It is your ability as an entrepreneur to dream-up new idea and device an interesting process towards turning the new concept a reality.
Why is creativity so important in an entrepreneur’s life? Because, if every entrepreneur in a given society should be creative and productive, that society will rapidly grow, both mentally, socially, economically, technically and otherwise.
Creativity is not always necessary to be starting an invention from scratch after-all. No one is the father of invention. Every invention is an innovation of a previously existing creation. Creativity can be making something to exist in a better and more perfect form than it had initially been.
Creativity gives joy, confidence, respect, riches, self-control and fame. Creativity of an entrepreneur can be a jet to take any person who engages there in to where he had never been before.
It can lift him highly. So, that’s what creativity can do for you. You might be thinking how you can start using the three wonderful traits immediately, but don’t need worry yet. Later on, we are going to them to the fullest dissolution.
Before then, we are going to look at what vision is all about. Somebody who can see even with his naked eyes is primarily visional, just as in the opposite of blindness for instances, as you are reading this book now, it is vision that can aid your ability to do that.
But the real vision is not this one we have with our naked eyes or physical eyes. This real vision happens within us, in that which we happen to be humans.
Because, it’s not all animals that have vision, though most can see; but the ability to fore-see the future and build a ground suitable for what one thinks can happen is what I’m talking about.
Vision is wisdom, as the bible says “my people perish for the lack of vision” so the ability to see things the way they exist rather than how people, situation or circumstances suggest they are, is vision.
The ability to know things that will likely happen through in long term future, what will cause them and what can be done to prevent or control them is vision.
Having a clear picture of how you want to take control of your business success and development is vision. It is all about the ability to see it in your own perspective and discernment, using the current circumstances.
Vision drives passion and action, but lack of vision is folly and woe. Every human being is supposed to have vision, but the fact should about be how big you dream.
Clarity in your ‘dream’ come through the power of vision, and this has a lot of suggestion on your present personality and the person you are capable to become.
As an entrepreneur, vision is everything for you; it is vision that will help you to reach that place you dreamt to reach.
You can’t lead if you don’t have vision, that is, how you think the society you are leading shall be in a time to come or after your term in office. So also is it in your business.
Structure how you will like your career, life, business, home, or community to be in the nearest future, believe in what you just created, and stick to it only if you love it that way, then watch out for part two.
Vision drives lucks especially when they are clear. So start today to develop the ability to see how you want your business to be in a little time to come.

How to become pro-active, creative and visional (smartness)
These are things you should do to switch your entrepreneurial life style to more smart, visional, independent and confident one.
Know thyself: The knowledge of oneself is the beginning of all wisdom. Literary gurus can tell you that self mastery is the greatest concept of intellectuality, the climax of all knowledge’s and the key to all discoveries.
To master yourself, you should understand your potential, what you can be able to do with all or the remaining part of your abilities as a person.
Only you know yourself best. Smart entrepreneurs don’t let their current situations to define them. You need to define yourself, no matter how things are.
It is who you say you are that you are. It is under your arm to decide where you want to be, what you want to be doing there and when you want to be there.
Do self-assessment by questioning people like your family members, trusted friend that will tell you truth or your mentor.
Ask them who you are according to them, after their opinions, adjust their suggestion to you own thought and make conclusion. Let them not conclude for you, no one know you more than you.
So, how much do you know yourself, your capabilities, tenacity, courage, self-control, in order to persevere and be able to win. If you don’t know yourself, your visions can take no effect.
But if you know yourself you can become more targets driven, motivating others around you, as it is important for you to know what you stand for.
A pro-active leader is that visional leader who is capable to see beyond the present situation.
They stand for integrity and indeed right for such. They stand for truth, justice and hope, knowing that with proper responsibility they can make all things well.
Like people say, “every man has a price”. Now, what is your own price?
If you are to be sold, who will buy you? How much will he buy you? And how profitable will you turn for the person who bought you.
This is a tool you should use to understand if you are a growth stock or depreciable liability. A growth stock is a stock that is capable to yield more profitable benefit to those that invested in it.
Develop the ability to freely flow in your daily activities until you master it very well: Exercise everything you learnt that you want to be doing. Also do new things carelessly as if they are not hard until you master it very well.

It has been high-time we have talked about giving first instead of expecting to receive first as a means of getting something better.
As an entrepreneur, you are there to serve as a problem solution to people. Services that you give open your eyes to know what you are supposed to be doing with your business life.
Serve your customers and much more profit will come back to you. Be ready and quick to provide solution before are being asked.
As a person called to serve, don’t focus your attention on the benefits to be derived from the services. There are hidden wisdoms there in.
Make the satisfaction of others one of your major objectives. A great entrepreneur should deprive himself off those things that will obstruct him from excellence, and that’s sacrifice for him.
Example of those obstructions against excellence is the unhealthy pleasures, like too much stay on social media, watching of too much television and other distractive addictions.
Sacrifice those things and serve the important people in your life. Even if you think you are not born with the inward trait to serve, you can cultivate that.
All lifestyles in entrepreneurship can be cultivated and that is why it isn’t made for a particular set of people. A good leader is always selfless and is most interested to see others grow or redefined. Serve, to get more wisdom, self confidence and hope.
Grow your emotional intelligence:
This is the ability to engage with different kinds of people and circumstance successfully. As the lion of the jungle, it is wisdom to know that you need not your finger nails or your chest, this time.
Emotional intelligence is the array of non-cognitive capabilities and skill that influence yours. The ability to understand the mood of your buyer at a particular sales point determines your capability to succeed in the process.
Always discern and apply wisdom to action and appropriate guidance to anybody to find out most hidden thoughts.
When an entrepreneur is emotionally intelligent he is highly skilled to adapt. He will become more flexible, creative, Logical both in his reasoning and in problem sensitivity.
